While not the ideal time, we install roofs year round.
We take special precautions to be sure that the ice and water shield stays in place prior to installing the shingles, but installation is the same as the warm weather months beyond that. Shingles prefer warm weather to completely seal down. While this could be an issue in a high wind event, it’s not a problem on a cold windless day. That’s why we take great care to attend to each shingle when installing. We haven’t had any issues with shingles blowing off thus far! Once the new roof soaks up a few days of warm sunlight, it performs as well as a roof installed in warm weather.
